Battery Back Up
I had my First Clean Customer Today, in Muwillumbah, that is still on the $0.60/Kwh FIT till the end of the Year. But has chosen to be ready for the big switch and has already installed Panels and Battery Back up Bank.
I asked him Why he chose to set it up this way?
He replied - This way they Batteries will last approx 10 years, Gel Batteries, and they cost me Approx $1500 to replace a row/bank.
This Gentleman had investigated lots of the different systems available on the market and chose this way. So I just thought I would share it out there for those that maybe looking into Battery Back up and still are not sure if others have started to set them up.

Green Electricity and Carbon Offsets
With our Election on the way, all the talk seems to be around what is our Government going to do about Alternative Energy to BROWN/COAL Energy?
My Question is WHAT ARE "YOU" Doing about it?

I Rent, so over the last two years I have been trying to come up with a way to make up like a portable Solar so I can take it with me. I am close. But this will only help me offset about 12% of our Daily Energy Use, and would have cost me About $1500, SO will take me a little over 5 Years to get my money back!
Lucky the money I have used to get the materials was mainly bartering my labour, and recycling copper, brass and cans. So really didn't cost me that money after all.
But my business is about Cleaning Solar to Help make the Most Solar Produced! from your System. So if I in return are not using as much GREEN energy as I can, to me that makes me a Hypocrite!
So I looked into switching to Green Power with Origin Energy, our Electricity Retailer.

So to go 50% GREEN Energy it is going to cost me an EXTRA $359 per Year!! That would take up my GREEN Energy use to 62% costing me $1859 in the First Year :( I should have just bout a 2KW Solar to put on the roof of the house we rent?
It seems so expensive to help the Environment! I can see why most people do not, or can not afford to do it!
I also found out the our household Electricity adds up to 12.01 Ton per year, to offset this at $10 per Ton = $120.10 if I was to purchase Carbon offset credits! this would work out better and cheaper! but honestly what is $120.10 going to do to help the environment from me every year?
So what I have chosen to do is SWITCH to an Electricity Retailer that is going to provide me with 50% GREEN Electricity, Guaranteed!

Results From Yesterday Mornings Clean.
This Customer Requested a Standard Clean 12 Monthly @ $9 Per Panel
I did explain that 12 Monthly Clean do not Produce much results if Any, This is Also found on my Website. So we can see That This Customers Solars Performance is Dropping Steady by around 2.2-3% each Year, Not the Estimated 15-20% loss per Year. (or should I say 35-40% That some Cleaner Claim!)
So myself here at Solar Cleaner Australia, Not Happy with these Results for my Customer, Have Decided to Put him on the Alpha Eco Solar Treatment Program. Aiming to get to at least what the CEC tell us is the Average for our Area, of 9.24Kwh/Day

A system manual that provides operation, maintenance and safety information should be provided by your installer. This must also include a system energy output (kWh) estimate.
What angle should the solar panels be on?
Solar PV panels produce most power when they are pointed directly at the sun. In Australia, solar modules should face north for optimum electricity production. The orientation of the panels will often have a greater effect on annual energy production than the angle they are tilted at. A minimum tilt of 10° is recommended to ensure self cleaning by rainfall. For grid-connected solar PV power systems, the solar panels should be positioned at the angle of latitude to maximise the amount of energy produced annually. Most Australian homes have a roof pitch of 20° to 30°. If your roof’s slope is not ideal, your accredited designer can create an appropriate mounting frame to correct the orientation and elevation of your panel. Failing this, the designer can advise you on the difference in energy output for different tilt and orientation.

panels should ideally be in full sun from at least 9am to 3pm. They should not be placed in shaded areas and be kept free from dust and dirt. Shading or dirt on just one of the cells in a solar panel results in a loss of power from many cells, not just the one that is shaded.
Temperature
The amount of electricity a solar PV panel can generate is reduced as temperatures increase. Solar panels operate best at ambient temperatures up to 25°C. However, if the ambient temperature is higher, the panel’s output declines.
Warranties
o What kinds of warranties come with the products? o Which warranties are your responsibility and which are the manufacturer's? o How long have the equipment manufacturers been in the PV industry? Long warranties are meaningless if the manufacturers aren't around in five years. o If you have to deal with the panel or inverter manufacturer in the future, do they have an Australian office?

Great news Yesterday - Again!
Was told that a Customer of one of my Cleans/Treatments who was getting approx $30 Rebate on their quarterly electricity bills.
Just recently after the Treatment of their Panels got a $300 Rebate on their electricity bill
Asked this morning for an official review, will add to this once i get it.
Great News though, not that I didn't expect it, getting great news off all my customers slowly :)

So what did I find out this week? mmmmmmmmmmm
Well again I found another Solar Owner that did not know their Panels needed Cleaning?
What is happening, it is on Adverts on the TV? Does no one take notice any more?
I am only trying to help out those with Solar Panels to make more money!
I worked out this week that with my #cleanswitch&save deal you, the customer only pays 1.5% of what you are guaranteed to make over the 3 year Program.
1.5%, that's $1.50 to make your self $100 in Electricity savings?
Any way, My Partner keeps telling me that I calculated things out more than others.
I guess I do, but how else would you know if you are getting enough return on the money you are investing into your Solar?

I was just informed by one of my Bidet Customers today in Tweed Heads
That he has a guy that cleans his Panels (2Kw System) for $25 every year
I asked him could i have a look at his latest bill to see how much the $25 clean was improving his Solar ?
Bill was from Origin Energy
Dec till Feb 2016
Solar Generated was 632 kwh over 90 Days = 7.02 Kwh / Day
CEC Average is for a 2 Kw System - 8.4 KWH / Day
This guy is on $0.60 Rebate
All of my Customers Generate at minimum CEC Average!!
This guy has missed out on $74.52 extra worth of saving just from his last bill!!!
So for paying a guy to clean his Panels $25, he has not gained anything! he is not even getting his average!! over summer!!!
I ask you?
Is it worth the $25 he paid to get nothing (actually he got a negative!)
He should have given his $25 to a charity?
